In January we released a blog post detailing stuff about the upcoming teaser trailer and casting Phase Two! It's been quite a while now so we thought we'd give you a little update on where we've been, how production has been going, details about casting Phase Two and more! CONTENTS OF POST:

TRAILER UPDATES
To start off with, the first thing worth mentioning is that unfortunately, soon after our last blog post TC Hero production halted almost entirely due to many personal issues and studies, so we haven't managed to get as much done as we would have wanted. However, in some ways I (the creator of the series, me be writing the blog post lol) was expecting that, so in some ways, TC Hero is still well on track to the release date I set in my mind. Stuff like this very easily happens so its good to be prepared in situations like these.
Despite all the setbacks however, it doesn't mean we haven't gotten anything done. On the contrary, we actually have quite a bit to discuss and show you!
Tools
Of course to start off with production, you first need to get all the tools you need to start creating the thing. We started off with creating some templates for character creation and storyboarding.
The first image on the left is the E-conte (Japanese storyboard style) template we will be using for the production of the trailer and many more productions to come! On the right you can also see our character sheet template with now two complete character sheets!! Although we've had to heavily censor them because we want the character reveals to be as exciting as possible, we hope this gives you a good idea and leaves you hyped for the future!
Location concept art
In addition to all of the exciting artistic tools we've been building, we also have some fully completed location concept art to show you all!
The image above is from the location of the desert ruins, a location that will actually appear in the trailer and series! Although it seems like there is not much going on and its very monotone in colour, trust me, there is more to this place than meets the eye. These particular ruins were inspired by the archaeological city of Petra.
This second image here is from the location of the Thunder Ruins! As seen in the picture, the location of where this was drawn is very high up and not only that, strange looking thunder is arcing all around outside among some dark floating islands! That's all we have to say about this area for now as you'll have to wait for the trailer to release to get any new information on this zone. The ruins here are largely based off of those that you find in Greece, but also with a little medieval architecture thrown in. Conclusion to trailer news and release date
So in conclusion, although we've had many setbacks, I think we've managed quite well and this isn't even all of the content we've managed to create during this time! It's just the other stuff is way too spoilery. The trailer is well on its way to being completed, so much so that we think we can give some king of estimate as to when it'll be ready, or our goal anyway. So as of right now, our goal would be to have it finished before September. I know, it sounds like it's quite a way away, but I'm setting it that far in the future because who knows what will happen, but I'm confident in myself and my team and am definitely hoping that we get it done earlier than that. July would be great, but as of right now, I don't know how realistic that is, so don't get your hopes up!
PHASE TWO CASTING CALL
Now that all of the trailer stuff has been talked about we can move onto the next topic, which I'm sure most of our community is looking forward to... CASTING PHASE TWO!!! First of all a little recap:

Once again, thank you to everyone who took part in Phase One! There were so many good auditions and certainly gave me and my team a hard time while choosing. It was truly a fierce battle. One that will not be seen by anyone but me and a couple of my closest friends lol.
How Phase Two will work
Now that we've gone over a short recap of how Phase One went down, we'll now explain how the next phase will work. Thinking back to the first phase, it does seem like there were a lot of unexpected problems that came about, so with this new phase, we'll try to take into account on what went wrong and improve the system.
First of all, when Phase Two comes around it is highly important that we get everyone's email, so there is a high likelihood that we will instruct everyone who is interested to submit there reel and email in a tweet/comment on the upcoming post. If you do not have a reel, that is fine, you can still audition. However if you do not have an email or don't have access to it, then unfortunately you won't be able to audition.
The message of there being a casting call (the message you will need to submit to) will be extended to multiple platforms other than Twitter this time around. The platforms in question will be Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and possibly TikTok, maybe even other platforms. In any case those are the main ones.
When it comes to the auditioning stage, it will work very similarly to last time. Everyone who is interested will be sent a PDF detailing the characters available alongside audition lines. Some will have character art to be shown while some will not. You will be required to send the auditions to a select email address. If you send in an audition, you should receive a message from us telling you that we received it safe and sound. If you don't hear from us after a little while, send a message to 2coolmon2@gmail.com and we'll try to get the situation sorted out. After this, if you've been selected for a role or something else, you will receive a message from 2coolmon2, me, giving you more details and/or instructions. Unfortunately, due to there being so many auditions last time, and since I'll be the only one answering everyone, I won't be able to get to everyone if you haven't been selected. I will notify everyone via email when Phase Two has ended. If you haven't got an answer from me when that happens, you can assume that you haven't been selected. However I hope this doesn't get you down and if you really want a role keep on trying!! You got this.
Also, during this time of casting, we will only be selecting voice actors for characters appearing in Episode One of the series. This is due to the fact that episodes take a long time to make and we don't want to make it awkward for the voice actors, for them to wait for ages before they get to perform. This way it'll be better for everyone and there will be MULTIPLE PHASES after Phase Two, so you guys will get plenty of chances to try out for the show.
If you are interested in auditioning for TC Hero, when the message of Phase Two beginning comes around, make sure to follow the instructions of sending a reel and your email, because if you don't, you won't receive the PDF. We won't be using the same email list that we did for Phase One, due to some reasons we cannot disclose at the moment.
When will Phase Two happen?
Great question, I actually have no idea, but I have a feeling it will actually happen before the trailer releases, that's for sure so expect it to be before/during August.

WEBSITE UPDATES
Finally we get to the final piece of this mega article. The website received a MAJOR update yesterday! With all of the cool stuff we've been working on and showing off in this article, we now feel a little more confident in showcasing some different parts of TC Hero! Most of the old website pages have now been fully updated and we've even added some new stuff! However, since we've already covered so much stuff in this article, feel free to watch this informational video instead! Better yet, take a look around the new website! It is still a little barren here and there, but we hope you find something interesting to look at!
ARTICLE CONCLUSION
Pheeeewwwww, that was certainly a mega article. Not sure if it was so mega to read but it was sure mega to write!! It's taken me ages! In any case, we hope this has brought a little bit of insight as to what we've been doing over here in the production pipeline. We know we've been a little silent on TC Hero for a bit, but we're really hoping to change that within the next few weeks and months!
